February! Welcome to Aquarius Season everyone & in keeping with Aquarian quirkiness, if I had my druthers? I’d have started our New Year about now! For those of you who honour Chinese New Year, on Tuesday the 5th, they’re ushering in 2019 on a great note with Earth Pig Energy. Said to hold a joy & love of life, it’s a year of fortune, prosperity & abundance. Lets hope so!
Mercury is moving swiftly through Aquarius now & as the Months starts, He’s having a conversation with the Sun. As Aquarius is very much about the bigger picture, larger considerations & concepts & The Sun is about self & happiness, we get off on an optimistic foot. Always nice! Especially for those of us who may have had a rough time throughout the previous Months Eclipses. We do, however, have one more “hit” of Eclipse wrap up on this first weekend, when the Moon goes through Capricorn for a couple of days. First She’ll bump into austere Saturn, then have an argument with Mars, shortly before meeting up with Pluto. What does this equate to? Well… usually it’s a rather sobering reality check. Seems we can’t escape from those for very long lately! Perhaps there’s a realisation of time passing by & our mortality. Perhaps it’s the challenges & blocks we’ll need to hurdle to liberate ourselves from some weighty ball & chain. Perhaps it’s recognition of or being faced with our fears, even if only in our minds. BUT, none of this is meant to drag us down or cause us to loose faith & give up! It’s more along the lines of balancing out our shadows with the light & moving forward DESPITE these things. On the 11th, Mercury moves into Pisces, a Sign which gently dissipates & heals. If something has jumped up, all in your face, know it’s a passing phase & things WILL calm down considerably.
So now that’s out of the way, the start of the Month also brings beautiful Venus, in Sagittarius, into Trine (harmony!) with Uranus, at the last Degree of Aries. Both these Signs are fiery & passionate… they are buoyant, direct & inspired. They’ll offer us the motivation we need to improve & break through barriers. Both Aries & Sagittarius are freedom loving & open to exploring new options, so it’s a good time to inject some fresh air & spontaneity into your daily routine & your relationships. Keep an even keel though & don’t let all that fire power go to your head. Fire Energy can be VERY passionate & emotional, so as long as things are flowing along, that’s fine. But if an argument springs up, take care not to issue any ultimatums you may not wish to stand by, when things cool down. Venus moves into Capricorn shortly after, so a more staid & understated mode will come into play for the rest of the Month. She’s sobering up & getting back to practicalities.
Jupiter is making his way through Sagittarius & this Month, He has an ongoing, positive hook up with Uranus at that previously mentioned last Degree of Aries. As Uranus often bring sudden change & Jupiter expands all he touches, you might get surprise news & opportunities coming your way. Being open to at least exploring ideas, even those which seem a little outside the square, just might pay off. After investigating, you may or may not find that you can logically go forward with what you’ve learned, but your mind will be expanded, for sure! This is an excellent time for brainstorming & creative thinking. It offers up inspiration which can lead you toward “the unconventional solution”. You may find yourself in the right place, at the right time… so ears & eyes open. Mars, the Planet of action & forward movement, is going into Earth Sign Taurus on the 15th. If you want to land something, you’ll have a steady flow of determination with which to work.
One last mention re Uranus, around the days of the 13th & 14th, He & Mars are Conjunct. This can be a “spill/tip/drop” kind of influence, so please be careful when you’re driving etc. As stated, Uranus is the Planet of surprise & that can be good or bad! When He & Mars get together, accidents can happen. Especially in a Fire Sign, as they are, in Aries. Not great days for extreme sports, that’s for sure & don’t leave your candles unattended, simmering pots on the stove or let danger brain get the better of you! Probably best to stay away from those who test your nerves, or who are prone to outbursts or temper tantrums. Enough said. However, these two are known as Team Rut Busters, so if you need to blast through any blocks, you CAN channel this for good. Be aware though, that a little force can go a very long way… & suddenly!
Pluto, ah Pluto… slithering along in Capricorn, along with Saturn, who by the way is conversing quietly with Neptune, in Pisces (in Sextile). These two are sitting in the back row & debating what is real Vs what’s fantasy, &… if it IS real, what are you going to do about it? Those dreams, those inspirations, those yearnings, creative talents & foibles of yours… what are you going to make of them? You do need to start thinking about that. Saturn’s asking “What’s the plan?” Neptune whispers back he has NO idea. Yet.
The New Moon this Month Falls in Aquarius, at 08:03am on the 5th @15 Degrees… Guys! THIS is our Great Ideas & Concepts Moon of the Year. Aquarius is an Air Sign, it’s intellectual. Our minds will be open & alert right now, we really need to tap in & look out for flashes of brilliance. Mercury, the “Ideas Man” is also playing into this. People who come up with those cutting edge, quirky new products or systems often have this Aspect in their Natal Charts, but all of us can access the Energy on this New Moon. Inventors, trend setters, “mad” scientists! If you’re busy, make sure you write ideas down, because they can disappear just as fast as they came. The Moon is supported by Jupiter, who is so often described as “The Lucky Planet”, so use this time period well. Aquarius has a collective, humanitarian bent but at the same time, wants to be different, separate & recognised as an individual. How can you differentiate yourself or your idea? You don’t have to hey presto immediately manifest things, you have until the Full Moon in Aquarius, in mid August, to work on it. At the very least, find some time to sit STILL & ask “what do I need to know?” Though the echo may be quirky or abstract, you’re likely to get an answer. Gaining independence via your own unique qualities, traits & skills may be possible after all! Venus in Earthy Capricorn is in harmonious Aspect too. Along with grace & beauty, Venus oversees money & finances, so you have potential to find financial backing, or to make serious cash from your ideas, eventually. Interestingly Uranus, Planetary Ruler of Aquarius, is still sitting at the mid point of the Lunar Nodes. In a nut shell, this offers us a super highway from our past, toward our future. Dare to pick up your mental Melway!!
The Full Moon on the 20th, at 02:53am, in Virgo @0 Degrees is a different kettle of fish, though equally as power full. I’d venture to say that we’ll FINALLY get some inkling that all the hard work we’ve been putting in, somewhere in our lives, is paying off. There was so much slip sliding throughout 2018. Many of us felt we were getting exactly nowhere & became disheartened. There’s a heads up for a positive turn of events from back in September, around now. Aside from that, Virgo Energy is interested in cleaning up your home, cleaning up your act, cleaning up & organising your life, in general! Taking care of any health issues… yours or those of your family, exercising & eating right become a focus. Taking a look at the details of your work environment & reviewing your position may prove constructive too. Anything that comes up on this Full Moon will not only show you the results of your toil, but it’ll highlight what needs attention & improvement. Uranus (change) & Mars (what you do) are Trining (harmonising) with this Full Moon. Any measures you take to give up bad habits right now will catch a massive tail wind, or rather… a hurricane to blow them away! Not only the Moon part of this but the Sun too, is Aspected by Uranus & Mars. The Sun has everything to do with our health & vitality, so this is like a double whammy. Finally, Saturn (structure), Venus (beauty & love), Pluto (transformation), Neptune (creativity) AND Mercury (our mindset) are ALL playing nice. This is, I’d say, the best time to get rid of/end/blast/annihilate ANYTHING that’s undermining you being the best version of yourself. Start planning what positives you’re going to replace all that space with. It’s not really the time to launch onto your new path just yet; Full Moons & the two following weeks, are releasing (waning) Energy. Your time to act t bring in The New is on the 8th & 9th, 11th & 12th of March, for best results. Keep your goals realistic, achievable, sensible & grounded. Use these waning 2 weeks to plan, with detail, & you’ll be good to go. Perhaps I should point out that one of Virgos virtues is patience?!
