Hey Everyone & Happy Birthday Aries!!!

I’m posting this just after a Full Moon in Libra, this has been a challenging Full Moon! Hopefully now in going forward some of the pressure we’ve all been feeling will start to simmer down. But in this first week or so, we’ll still be recuperating from a tough Mars Saturn conversation or two. This is usually described as a “lack” Aspect, one where we may be focused more on what we don’t have, as opposed to what we do. Though things may be feeling serious, directing your focus toward what’s positive in your life & pouring your energy into that is the lighter way forward. We’ll be tasked with a couple of challenges to realign our structures & asked to take yet another good look at our actions. It’s quite possible to find yourself in some sort of push & pull, it’s up to us to work out a compromise between who’s “right” & who’s “wrong”, even if only within ourselves.

The lovely Planet Venus was in fiery Aries at the end of March & not willing to put up with much! She Conjuncted Uranus, which often offers up relationship revelations. They can be surprising, or even a little shocking. Patience was at a minimum, so tempers may have been frayed too. Hopefully you’ll have been able to blast your way through a few frustrating blocks & come out on top, not in tatters! At the start of April though, Venus will move into Earth Sign Taurus & things should start to calm down. As Taureans know, Venus Rules this Sign & so She’s going to be very happy here. We’ll find ourselves more concerned with our security & what makes us feel happy in the simplest of ways. The romantic pace is slower, it’s a transit of stopping to smell the roses! Taurus is, above all else, a sensual Sign. It’s about valuing ourselves & nurturing our senses. Take this month to settle yourself into your Autumn routine, with a view to being cared for & comfortable throughout the oncoming *sigh* Winter months. Venus will go into Gemini by the end of April, there’s plenty of time to be a social butterfly then!

Mercury is still Retrograde until the 16th, so if you’ve managed not to lock yourself out of the house, lose your phone or at the very least text someone by mistake, you’re doing well! Until He goes direct, we’re all having to reassess a few things & decisions we’ve made for the last few weeks may flip flop. This is all par for the course with this Transit & it’s meant, ultimately, to get us in line with what we really should know. If people or issues have popped up from your past, the reason is to go over things AGAIN, with a view to receiving clarity before moving forward. Mercury turns Direct on the day of the New Moon, so it’ll be full steam ahead, with our heads on straight once more.

Before I get to the Moons of this month, I’ll mention that both Saturn & Pluto will go Retrograde until September & October, respectively. As these are both slow moving Planets, their actions are subtle & we often don’t see immediate shifts. Both Planets are in Earth Sign Capricorn, so our lifes structures & foundations are bound for further reassessment & transformation. This is more about The Big Picture stuff, so where changes come through, think more long term planning rather than short term gain. Next month Uranus will be moving into Taurus & it’s a big deal because this Planet only changes Signs every decade or so! Uranus is Ruler of Aquarius, so we’re all about to become more Aquarian in our ways, both personally & collectively. Early born Taureans, Scorpios, Leos & Aquarians themselves are all about to see changes rolling through their lives! More about this in May. Meanwhile, Jupiter is still in Scorpio & Retrograde also. Whatever you were dealing with back in October last year will have backed off in intensity & allowed you some air! We’re all still working on the wisdom we’ve gained since then & what we’ll transform it into.

The New Moon at 11:57, on the16th of April, is @26 Degrees of Aries. Though we may be cooling down here, it’s still considered to be the start of the New Astrological Year! An Aries New Moon is allll about crackling, robust NEW ideas & NEW beginnings anyway, but this particular one is extra full on because it’s Conjunct Uranus, Planet of surprises & change. There’s a huge push to shake things up & make a fresh start in at least one area of your life. The energy is balanced out somewhat, as Mercury, now turning Direct, will be slowed down for a few days… He’s challenged by Saturn. The best way forward is to be measured in what you say & do. Yes, you want to change things, but review the nuts & bolts of your plans beforehand. Thankfully, Venus is well supported now & She’s brimming over with heart felt ambitions & desires. Listen to what your heart is telling you you truly want, be inspired! Be independent & be motivated in setting the goals you know will sustain your happiness ongoing. Take at least one step toward something you’ve always wanted!! Later in the day, the Moon moves into Taurus, so the energy will help you ascertain what nurtures you on a deep, fulfilling level… then Go For It.

The Full Moon on the last day of April, at 10:58, falls @9 Degrees Scorpio. It has a totally different essence to the above New Moon, though both are fairly intense. I really like this Full Moon because there’s very little else going on, Planetary wise. Just as well because Scorpionic energy is enough for most of us to contemplate. We’re likely to be focusing on intimacy & sex, yes, but topics regarding our resources such as inheritance, loans, taxes or our credit rating may come to the fore. You may discover a few interesting facts & figures which had been masked somehow until now. Power issues can also arise & I’d advise you not to get into any struggles with this Full Moon. If things have been simmering under the surface for a while though, that may prove hard. Try not to swing to extremes & take a day or two before responding, if the atmosphere gets a bit tense. Even so, this IS a good time to work on any of your psychological patterning & the mysteries in your life. Try delving into any of your Spiritual or Esoteric practices today. You’ll definitely be feeling ultra intuitive right now, so listen to your instincts & gut feelings.

Though there’s much going on as always, this month both Moons are Mars Ruled & yet Venus energy is starred as well. Mars & Venus… Masculine & Feminine… Yin & Yang! I’ve chosen Chrysanthemum Stone for April, my theory being that at a very basic level, Black represents Mars energy & White, Venus. This Crystal promotes joy & purity whilst driving us to initiate our hopes & wishes in a practical way. It offers us the courage we need to move past our blocks & to gain balance. As with so many Crystals, this one is an excellent stress reliever & detoxifier. It’s said to help with healing of the skin & bones too. Chrysanthemum Stone improves your mood, so try putting a Tumble Stone under your pillow for a few nights & see if you wake up feeling more positive & happy!
