Astrology November 2017
The Sun is in Scorpio &, as many of you will know, Jupiter is now in residence too! This means that Scorpio is not only the flavor of the month, but is on our menu for the next year. Jupiter is the Planet of expansion & new horizons, which basically means that Scorpio is now “Extra!” What is Scorpio about? Trust & Loyalty, Vulnerability & Intimacy, Power & Intensity… Passion! But above all? Transformation. Fortunately, the Planets are playing quite nicely this month & have allowed me to focus mostly on what Scorpio is about. Important, because we’ll be influenced by their energy for some time.
Scorpio is Ruled by the Planet Pluto, a.k.a. The Dark Lord. As such, Scorpios are anything but superficial. They typically get a bad wrap because their Ruler represents The Shadow & people will often project a lot of their mess onto Scorpio. When working on a High Level, Scorpio will help you transform your woes & your Dark Side… they’re *supreme* healers! But you won’t get a free pass with them, they can see straight through you, so best you be honest. Their X-ray vision gets them right to the point, they shoot straight & tend to hit our sore spots, struggle & conflict can ensue. In a way, their energy is meant to remove our splinters. Yes, that hurts! But it’s better than leaving the thing to fester & rot, isn’t it? Get the “guck” out = get better!
Themes of intimacy, our psychological issues, power & transformation are about to become our focus. Take a look at what these things mean to you. Scorpio holds internal & reflective energy, so your objective is to heal yourself & others at a deep, deep level! How can you strengthen your relationship bonds? What do you need to work on psychologically? What is power & how do you use that? How is it exerted over you? Avoid the temptation to employ Lower Level Scorpio in your musings & actions, which would be seeking revenge or using manipulative tactics. Watch you’re not getting overly suspicious & paranoid. Be wary of obsessive behaviours; keep a handle on jealousy or addictions.
Broadly, Scorpio deals with metamorphosis. Take those creepy caterpillars & turn them into beautiful butterflies. Often this is challenging, but you have such Cosmic Support now… go into your cocoon & transform. Financially, this year an excellent time to upgrade insurance policies, pay off debt, resolve tax issues or get loan/credit approval. At the very least look at your finances & re-jig your budget. Face any legal matters. We can kick start positively now & achieve wonders during the next 12 months.
In early November, Mercury (communication & thought process) is moving out of Scorpio & into Sadge. This is a far more social & chatty placement. However, he’s heading into his Retrograde Shadow mid month, officially Retro on December 4th (NOTE: to avoid disappointment & snafus, get your Christmas shopping done early!!) Venus (love & what’s of value) is still making her way through Libra (beauty & partnership), but she’ll be in Scorpio & meeting up with Jupiter on the 13th… act on a romantic wish! Tell someone you love them. Make an investment of some sort. Mars (energy & action) is still in Libra too (until December), urging us to move on all the things we’ve been saying we’ll do these past weeks. Stop procrastinating- just do it.
Saturn (our lessons & structure) in Sadge, is having a long chat with Uranus in Aries (revolution & change), supporting Mars action & helping us to revolutionise our frame work. Initiate change where it’s been tricky to find common ground or make adjustments (since December last year). There’s a harmonious flow now. What’s been holding you down? What can you liberate yourself from? Let some fresh air in & see what the Spring breeze brings to replace it. Pluto (transformation) is still painstakingly chipping away at Capricorn, Cancer, Aries & Libra… hang in there guys! & finally, Neptune (illusion & creativity) will be turning direct on the 22nd (Retro since June). Time to wake up/get clear/get real! Bring your ideas & concepts into form.
The Full Moon is on Saturday, the 4th (@11 degrees Taurus), at 16:22. Culminations & conclusions! All things Tauro are about to bear fruit or reach their next stage/level. You may find a tie back to early May, 2016, when the New Moon in Taurus occurred. Our self esteem “ouches” may get poked, our patience can be tried, our boundaries could be tested right now though. Full Moons illuminate such things to highlight what we have an opportunity to morph or release. Taurus is a Venus (love & luxury!) Ruled Sign. You could run into one of those “save or splurge” dilemmas. I’d advise you to have a serious D&M with your bank account before you decide. But in the meantime, cook up a feast for dinner tonight… there isn’t a Taurus alive who doesn’t feel as rich as royalty after a great meal!
The New Moon falls on Saturday, the 18th (@26 degrees Scorpio), at 22:42. Time to plant Scorpio seeds! You should have a good idea on what to work with after reading the above, but to recap: Begin working on transforming your trust issues, your emotional connections, your intimate relationships, your sexuality & sex life (buy underwear/lingerie!). Work on your power, control & influence. Double your efforts toward balancing debt & taxes, strive for future abundance. Revisit any chronic health troubles for more clues & insight. Start investigating any esoteric anything that draws you. Be an alchemist of the first order! Convert, renew, switch, alter & shift, in general.
