The Seven Crystal Systems

Crystals are identified according to their unique crystalline lattice structures. At the heart of a crystal is it’s atomic structure that is constant and unchanging.

Although a crystal may look beautiful and still it is actually vibrating at a certain frequency according to its atomic structure. This is what gives a crystal its energy.

Each crystal is grouped into one of seven crystal systems. Each of the 7 crystal systems is attuned with the energy vibration of one of the 7 major chakras of the body. Therefore we can use a specific crystal from each of the unique crystal structures to realign and re-balance the subtle energies of the chakras and promote healing.

Crystal System

Trigonal Chakra Crystals for Base Chakra

Bloodstone, agates, and amethysts are all trigonal chakra crystals. They emit red energy and correspond with the coccygeal chakra located at the base of the spine. These are the most energizing chakra crystals, constantly emanating with energy that is neither positive or negative in nature. These chakra crystals are ideal for balancing subtle energies, and providing clarity.

Isometric (Cubic) Chakra Crystals for Sacral Chakra

Moving up the major chakras, the cubic crystal system correlates with the sacral chakra located just above the naval. Diamonds, garnets, and fluorites are all cubic chakra crystals. They have a foundational, basic, earthly nature.

Hexagonal Chakra Crystals for Solar Plexus Chakra

Emeralds and aquamarines are all hexagonal in structure. They are associated with the major chakra at the solar plexus. These stones are the most effective for healing, as it is their nature to stimulate growth and vitality.

Tetragonal Chakra Crystals for Heart Chakra

Zircon, Wulfenite and Apophyllite are in the tetragonal crystal family. These chakra crystals are aligned with the vibrational energy of the heart chakra. The overall energetic nature of tetragonal crystals is balancing. They give and receive energy, absorb negative and emit positive.

Orthorhombic Chakra Crystals for Throat Chakra

The energy of these crystals correlates with the throat chakra. Orthorhombic crystals, such as Peridot, Topaz, and Alexandrite are encircling and encompassing in nature, bringing thoughts and problems in focus, or magnifying, so the mind can deal with them and then release.

Monoclinic Chakra Crystals for 3rd Eye Chakra

Jade, Moonstone, and Malachite are all in the monoclinic family of crystals. Their energy is aligned with the third eye chakra. They are the chakra crystals of continual expansion and contraction, a stimulus for action. In meditation, they help by clearing one’s inner vision, letting the mind dissolve trivial matters to perceive higher matters.

Triclinic Chakra Crystals for Crown Chakra

Triclinic crystals, such as Turquoise and Rhodonite are connected with the final major chakra, the crown chakra. They bring harmony with a higher consciousness.
