Malas (prayer beads) are used to keep count of prayers and mantras and mala bracelets are traditionally known as “wrist” or “hand” malas. These traditional wrist malas are comprised of 21 sandalwood beads (approx. 7-8mm) on elastic with a coloured tassel. Please note that the tassel colour supplied may differ to that shown. Imported from Nepal. Sandalwood is a class of woods from trees in the genus Santalum. The woods are heavy, yellow, and fine-grained, and, unlike many other aromatic woods, retain their fragrance for decades. Sandalwood oil is extracted from the woods for use.
