The villagers realize that their emergent competitiveness and acquisitiveness has ruined the life and beauty of their village, just as the Wanting Monster, now expelled from the village, realizes the value of befriending.

More Info	About the author (2021) Martine Murray is an Australian author and illustrator, born in 1965. She is based in Melbourne. Before becoming a writer, she studied art at Victoria College of the Arts and dance at Melbourne University.
